"5 cm"

              The book “5 cm” is about the friendship of five human children is name Arial, Riani, Zafran, Ian and Genta. Where they have the obsession and dreams respectively.  Arial is a figure that most of them handsome, tall and big. Arial always looks neat and sporty. Riani is the figure of a woman wearing glasses, beautiful, and intelligent. She aspires to work in one of the tv stations. Zafran is a member of band, friendly and hilarious. Ian has a posture that is not ideal, ball enthusiast and a fan of Happy Salma. The latter is Genta, Genta alaways considered as “the leader” by his friends, rather large bodies with straight hair, campust activists and friends easy going.

 

              Five friends have formed a friendship over the past seven years. Once they bored with the activities they always together they agree not to communicate with each other and meet each other for three months. During the three months of separationsthat occurs many things that make their heart is richer than ever before.

              Meeting after three months filled with a sense of miss it finally happen, and celebrate with a trip. A journey full of faith, dreams, ideals and love. They climb the highest mountain on the island of java, Mahameru. The trip for the meaning of a life of adventure to the Mahameru mountain. Along the way to the summit of Mahameru, a lot of amazing things that make them understand the meaning of life.

              Half of the book 5 cm tells of the daily these five companions, from their properties are different from one another until their behavior and activities are interspershed with stories about the issue among friends. The other half of the book tells their adventure hiking to Mahameru mountain. The story is very interesting full excitement and adventure. The book give us the motivation.

              I think this book, the author uses language that is easily understood, and the storyline is not boring so readers want to read this book until the last page. In this book, a lot of words that make us inspired. In the story, the songs are insert in accordance with the atmosphere that is going on, so that make us even more lost in the story. As they journey from Jakarta up to the top of Mahameru. I like to be there. To feel the chill of Ranu pane, beautiful of Ranu kumbolo, mystical of Kalimati and wonderful of Mahameru peak. I think a lot of moral massage that is delivery is very good, so it motivates the reader to be able to persue their dreams and make areality.
